Solid color card stock- Recollections- olive, green, Georgia Pacific- white
glue dots, ATG runner, Zig glue pen
Nesting Rectangles Die by Darice- for sentiment
Cuttlebug or other die cutting machine

Gather together your supplies and set up your work station.

I colored the digis I am going to be using with Copics. The digis are "Pot of Gold" and "Four Leaf Clover" by Robyn's Fetish. You can find them here http://robynsfetish.com/shop. I then cut them out. They can be set aside for now.

I printed off 4 digital papers; one onto the back of another. If you have a double sided card stock you bought, that will work too.  The photo below has the papers together that are printed on the same page.

Cut the designer card stock at 5" x 5". You need only one for each card.

Score the card stock at an angle on each corner at 1 3/4" as shown.

Score the card stock at 1 1/4" on each corner as shown below.

Fold the 1 3/4" score lines into the center. Crease the fold with your bone folder.

Make sure you do all 4 sides. This is how it should look at this point.

Now fold back the 1 1/4" scored lines as shown creasing the fold with the bone folder.

Score all 4 corners and this is how it should look.

NOTE: The next few photos are for those without a score board. I actually found this easier than using the score board. Those who are using the score board can skip the next 5 steps to continue where you left off if you wish.

Place a + (plus mark) in the center of your card stock measuring with a ruler and marking your card stock with a pencil as shown.

Fold the corner of one side up into the + on your paper. Then do the opposite side.  Now do the same with the other 2 sides. If you don't have a bone folder to crease the folds use the outside edge of the blade on your scissors or your ruler. A butter knife works too.

Now fold back the corner so you have about 1/2" from the other fold as shown. Crease the fold.

This is how it should look. When you fold the next corner back, line it up so the folds meet.

This is how it will look once you have folded all your corners back.

The opening that shows is about 2 1/2" x 2 1/2". The inside is a total of 3 1/2" x 3 1/2".  If you don't cut out your digi, then open up the the frame and adhere down your image. I just glued mine in as they fit right into the area.

Add foam dots.  Use 2 foam dots to each section of the underneath of the frame as shown on all 4 sides.

Remove the paper backing and adhere to the base of the frame. Press into place for a strong hold. I recommend that you use foam not over 1/8" thick. This is how it will look at this point.

Add foam dots to the underneath of the outside of the frame. You can add it as I did or on the triangle to ensure that you don't have it sticking out when you fold it over. Do all 4 sides.

Press the foam into place so it adheres well. Now you are ready to add it to a card. Decorate as you wish.

NOTE: I added 2 foam squares one on top of the other at the point area of the triangle pieces as well. It gives it a sturdier base if you decorate the sides of the frame.

Here are the 2 cards I made.

Thanks for dropping by. I hope you enjoyed making a folded frame card. This design can be used with a photo added to it instead of a digi or you can add a sentiment. Any theme would look great with this design. The photos do not do justice to the cards. They look very elegant. I hope to see you again real soon. Until next time, happy crafting!
Edwina
